The Design Ethos of the Table

We look at our community and environment as inspiration. As the world continues to change, so do we. That’s why we believe your furniture should adapt to your everyday life and how it changes over time.

By spending more time at home this past year, we discovered the importance of having quality furniture that evolves with us no matter what we’re doing. The Table was designed to be a stable place where work and life can seamlessly converge.

You bring a lot to the Table. That’s why we think it should do the same. Discover four areas of life to enjoy this long-lasting artifact:

Work

The Table can be used as either a personal or shared workspace. Where you can bring your ideas to fruition.

We took inspiration from everyday tech, including an Apple laptop, monitor or phone, to provide a Table with compatible cable management by building two cable grids below the surface to attach power as well as hidden magnets and leather bands to keep cords tidy. By removing the custom Acrylic Tabs, you’re able to access cables and chargers from beneath the surface.

At the Artifox office, we use a Table as a shared workspace for our team to come together and collaborate as it comfortably fits 4 people. Our founder and CEO, Sarah, uses the Table as a personal workspace with pieces from our Acrylic Collection to keep the surface organized, giving her plenty of space to create.

Additional items from likeminded brands that we are excited to pair with the Table when using it as a workspace are Appointed’s 2021 planner, Master & Dynamic’s Active Noise-Cancelling Wireless Headphones and Courant Wireless Charger

Gather

The Table is the first modern furniture piece in our collection of artifacts that can be used in any dining space.

It is highly functional as a dining table allowing for 4-6 place settings. The Walnut or White Oak materials add a beautiful, organic texture to any space.

Handmade by local craftspeople, each part is thoughtfully placed to create a long lasting furniture piece. While designing the Table we had many of life’s special events in mind. Big and small moments such as birthdays, moving to a new home, zoom calls with friends or nightly dinners.

One of our team’s favorite meals to share around the Table is a local favorite, Katie's Pizza and Pasta. Who can resist delicious handmade pasta from local, seasonal ingredients? Not us.

Play

Fuel your imagination, creativity and problem-solving abilities by playing with family and friends in an unstructured, creative way.

The Table has plenty of surface space for board games or puzzles. If you don’t need to access any cords beneath the surface, place the custom Acrylic Tabs back in their designated slots for a smooth playing surface.

The Artifox team enjoys playing a variety of board games with their friends and family, including Cards Against Humanity, Codenames and Hedbanz Adulting.

If you’re looking for a great meditation tool and stress reliever, try doing a puzzle on the Table. We enjoy a Gradient Puzzle, Frank Lloyd Wright Imperial Hotel Peacock Rug Puzzle or Gray Malin Hawaii Beach Two-Sided Puzzle

Create

No matter what you're creating - a pitch, clothing collection or screenplay, this versatile Table is a comfortable, trusted place to see it through from start to finish.

Its symmetrical design allows you to use it in any orientation, giving you more flexibility while creating. Handmade using hardwood and aluminum it will remain durable and continue to grow in its natural beauty over time.

Items we are using right now when creating include (but are not limited to) Sakura Pigma Micron Pens and Sets for sketching, Homesick Candles for ambiance and 6:00am Shopify playlist for vibes.

The design ethos of the Table is guided by our belief in furniture focused on clearing the clutter in a world where the line between work and life is blurred.

Available to order now in Walnut or White Oak and ready to ship in only 3 to 4 weeks! If you have any questions, email us at info@theartifox.com
