Quality Craftsmanship
Our Materials
You may have noticed we have a curated selection of raw materials. We believe these materials are the right materials. Walnut and Oak have proven to be strong and durable hardwoods, ensuring longevity in our artifacts. Both have a beautiful natural grain. We gravitate toward elements like steel, aluminum and leather for their resilience and clean aesthetic. We are not quick to work with new mediums until we have gained mastery of our existing ones. There is so much to be learned from each of these materials and if we give our attention to less, we can focus more on making the best products possible.
Our Makers
Without our extensive network of talented craftspeople, we would not be able to bring our creations to life. We value partners that take their time and do things the right way even if it’s not the easiest. We have learned so much by designing alongside these makers and it has directly influenced how we design. We value local fabricators and craftspeople and we are always looking for new opportunities to support our communities.
Our Commitment
At Artifox we want to be sustainable in every aspect of our business. We source our hardwood from local lumber yards and use environmentally safe production methods in our US and International wood shops. We have a farm in Central Missouri that has been a part of our family for over 200 years where we plant new walnut trees each year. Even our packaging is made from recycled foam and is designed to be reusable for future shipping and traveling. We are committed to these values to set an example in US manufacturing and to better serve our future generations.
