Elevate Your Space with Monochrome Artifacts

The timeless beauty of the colors black and white is in their deceptive simplicity. By bringing these hues into your home or office you can create an elevated tone throughout the space. Our modern Table and versatile Bench are two artifacts that come in both of these hues. We will be sharing their design story and why we selected them to be featured in both Black and Whitewash Oak. 

While Black Oak has been a staple in our collections for years, we only recently launched the pure white—Whitewash Oak. We are extremely excited about this new hue and can't wait to share more about the material itself and the variety of ways you can style it. 

Whitewash Oak

A fresh dusting of snow, crisp set of linens, soft floating clouds—the color white has a way of brightening and calming your mood and space. 

Our design team worked closely with local craftspeople to find the best way to include this essential color in our collections. After putting a few options to the test, we landed on the beautiful Whitewash Oak. Artifacts in this color are made using locally sourced solid white oak, carefully whitewashed to allow the natural grain to show through, and sealed with a matte finish. Paired with white custom hardware to create a timeless monochromatic experience. 

This new hue is featured in our Table and Bench. White being a neutral color, we encourage pairing it with any of our color collections including White Oak, Walnut, and Black Oak. Along with our Mist Acrylic accessories to enhance overall storage capabilities.  

The Whitewash Oak Table can be paired with the Black Oak Lift and Side as well as the Mist Paper Tray, Magazine Holder, and Vessel. Placing the Whitewash and Black Oak artifacts together creates the ultimate statement setup. The contrast between the two colors paired with natural hardwood grain undertones adds stunning color and texture to any space. 

Black Oak

Our Black Oak color has become a staple since launching a few years ago in our Desk and Rack. We were thrilled to be able to make it available in our two newest artifacts - Table and Bench! Each one is made from locally sourced solid white oak, ink dyed, and sealed with a matte finish to highlight the natural wood grain. Paired with matte black custom hardware to create the ultimate black on black experience. 

The Black Oak Table and Bench styled with the Smoke Acrylic collection including the Paper Tray, Magazine Holder and Vessel provides additional storage and a bold monochromatic interiors story. If you're looking to use the Table as a workspace, we recommend placing the Black Oak Lift on the desktop to elevate your tech and ensure you have ample storage space. 

The Table’s low profile design includes key features only available at Artifox while keeping them invisible for a sleek, stunning aesthetic.

The large desktop surface (L 70" x W 36") has room for all of your essentials, including our Lift or Acrylic office accessories. Remove the multifunction acrylic tabs from the surface to conveniently guide charging cords to the center of the Table by accessing the cable management grid beneath the surface. This clever feature will help keep your monitor, laptop, and phone charged throughout the day. Unlike other modern Tables, our design includes three handmade leather Bands to manage and conceal your cables. 

Whether you're using the Table as a dining table, coworking table, or personal desk, there's plenty of space as it can comfortably seat up to four people. 

The Bench is the ideal statement piece for any living, working or sleeping space because it has a wide variety of storage and display solutions. The Whitewash Oak Bench comes equipped with a new sand-colored canvas scroll for laptop storage and a crisp white steel tray to display plants. The Black Oak Bench featured the canvas scroll in black and the steel tray is matte black. The steel tray also provides a pass through in the corners to run your charging cables conveniently below the surface. 

The Bench was designed to be placed in any orientation to give you endless styling options. The deep shelving provides two separate storage compartments—from placing speakers on the top shelf to sneakers below. The height of the Bench was chosen to be seamlessly placed in an everyday entryway or modern living space (L 69.5" x W 19" X H 16.25”).
