Dwell Feature: Mid-Century Home Renovation
This Seattle house was originally built in 1951 for illustrator Irwin Caplan. The office space has a wall of glass, along with many rooms in the home, displaying stunning views of the landscape and Lake Washington. The recent renovation led by SHED Architecture + Design made for beautiful, functional before & after images.
The White Oak Desk sits in the lower-level office/spare bedroom paired with one of our favorite chairs. Desk's minimalist design made from white oak and steel adapts beautifully to this newly improved workspace. The built-in Dock is used to store pictures, phones or tablets, while the powder coated steel grid below neatly manages tech and lighting power cords.
To enhance any workspace, the White Oak Desk is the best desk to make your own by utilizing the compatible range of accessories from the White Oak Collection.
